Our ecrandal cookie cutters are known around the world for their exquisite quality, beautiful designs, and perfect cuts! What sets us apart? Here are a few of our special details and care that goes into the forming of our heirloom cutters.
First to start off with a high quality product you must begin with the best materials. Our copper is made by Revere, the original US made copper. For those of you that don't know, Paul Revere not only warned us that the British were coming, but he was also a talented Silver and Coppersmith. We are proud to purchase our copper from a company that uses copper that is made in the USA and has such a rich history!
Every one of our copper cookie cutters is hand-crafted by Eric without the use of any automated machinery.
He begins by cutting a strip from a sheet of 16 ounce pure copper and forms a nicely rolled hem at the top that is easy on your hands and is pleasing to the eye. This leaves a sharp edge at the bottom to ensure precise cutting. Just be sure to keep your fingers out of the way!
Each cutter is carefully formed and stamped with our ecrandal originals makers mark so you know it's a genuine ecrandal design.
After forming, the cutters are fastened by hand with solid copper rivets to ensure a permanent connection, then hand dressed and flattened to assure its performance. Each bend tweaked to be sure that every bend accurately depicts the intended design.
Finally, the cutter is carefully placed in a cellophane package to protect it from harm and to be sure you receive it in pristine condition. Shipped with care so hopefully even if the mailman kicks it there will still be a perfect cookie cutter inside.
Our cutters are made with meticulous attention to detail and are designed to last a lifetime. Every cutter you see should look like the image you ordered. There may be small differences in sizing just from the handmade factor or tooling marks from Eric's hand tools, but still a beautiful product every time.

NEW "e" COOKIE CUTTERS
We now offer some of our designs in our new "e" design, which is a reversible hem-less cutter with a lower profile. These are made by our daughter, Victoria.
